Profile cutter Z600
Task definition
Each extruded material has layers on the top and the bottom sides (so-called "skins") with differences in hardness and thickness depending on the extruder types. These areas are problematic zones during milling causing the following disadvantages:
• Rapid wear and tear of the tools in the "skin" zones
• Flashes or fringes at the layers
Solution
By inclining the knife-like toothing (instead of the traditional rasp cut), a resulting flash is always drawn into the slab area that is to be milled. Furthermore the knife-like teeth guarantee a complete overlapping from tooth to tooth, thus leading to a longer tool life.
Advantages compared with carbide tools
• Low noise operation
• Favourable cost-performance ratio
• Shortest production periods, even for complicated profiles
